Conclusion

Cooler Master has finally succeeded in producing a full tower chassis with all the amenities that is truly affordable by the masses. Following a barrage of $200+ cases of the Cosmos and Stacker series, the HAF 932 looks to fill a much-needed slot in their product lineup.

Incorporating many features found on more expensive designs, the HAF 932 touts extraordinary amounts of airflow through liberal use of open mesh, including several oversized fans and a variety of fan mounting options. Indeed, flexibility also seems to be a major design component, with special consideration for liquid cooling setups and dual power supply mounting options. Push-button bay locks, tool-less riser slot latches, four USB and an eSATA front I/O ports and rubber-isolated quick-release drive trays round out the package.

From an aesthetic perspective the HAF 932 also marks a deviation from previous more rounded, organic designs with a rugged, boxy look. The highly textured finish, raised panel shapes, open grill work and grid covered window all lend the HAF an industrial appearance. Granted this isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, however it's good to see Cooler Master branching out and exploring other design options.

I did not come across any hangups or features to take issue with, other than perhaps the weight, but of course this is a result of using steel rather than aluminum, and keeping costs down allows the price point of the HAF to hover around the $150 mark. This puts it within the budget of most users and makes the HAF competitive with other manufacturers full tower designs.
