If you are looking for a portable notebook cooler, the ErgoStand isn't for you. The stand isn't easily portable, but as a desktop stand it's great. Even at the highest setting, the fan is large enough to stay quiet, and I didn't really need to use the speed controller. A small detraction was with the anti-skid holders which prevented the lid of my notebook from closing fully. That is actually a pretty minor deal as most don't close their lids when leaving the computer on the stand.
As of writing, the Cooler Master NotePal ErgoStand can be yours for right around $30 USD.
The USB power worked well and the hub was great with a USB keyboard and mouse. Cooling results will no doubt depend on the type of cooling system your notebook uses. However, with the simplicity and the quick cool off, I am perfectly happy giving the Cooler Master NotePal ErgoStand our Gold Seal of Approval.
