The first problem I ran into during installation was the mounting of the 240mm radiator at the top of the case. There is simply not enough room between the edge of the motherboard and the underside of the case for it to fit. I was able to get only one screw in through the top to hold the radiator up, towards the front it contacted the memory modules and would not line up.
Like many AMD motherboards we discovered the backing plate for the AM3 socket did not quite line up with the access hole provided in the case. Unfortunately if the backing plate were to need removed, such as for an aftermarket cooler installation, the motherboard would still need to be pulled from the case. Also, due to the interfering components on the motherboard and the Swiftech Drive pump, I could only get one fan to line up on the radiator. There simply isn't enough room in the Elite 430 to mount a radiator inside.
It's a bit of a squeeze getting all the hardware in place, however once the side panels are in and the system powered on, the Elite 430 looks good both with and without the lights on.
Let's wrap things up with some final thoughts and conclusion.
