The main body of the Comforter is built from hard plastic. In addition to the matte black shown above, the Lapdesk is available in white. The rubber strip at the front end, and dots at the back end, keep the laptop from sliding off the surface. At the very back of the desk, there is a deep groove for storing your power supply or other laptop paraphernalia. This bend also gives the desk a nice incline.
The Comforter is also meant to be flipped and used upside-down, where the rubber feet mentioned above help the unit stay in place. A thin layer of foam coats the bottom side of the Comforter. The foam has a sturdy feel to it and is protected by a soft cloth material. With the laptop on the reverse side of the desk, the inverted groove (now a bump) can be used either as a wrist rest or to lift up the back of your laptop to help with cooling.
Here we get a close-up on the bottom-side cushion. The knit material has a pleasantly smooth texture. In addition to its comfortable feel, the cloth appears sturdy and rugged, certainly able to withstand daily abuse.
