Closer Look

Included within the package is the Buddy Hub itself, two long USB cables, a power adapter, a single sheet installation manual and a mail-in registration card.

The front of the Buddy Hub has seven USB ports in a single row. Above each port is a button, each labeled A / B. The Ultra name is also printed on the top of the hub. Moving to the back of the hub, we find two USB connectors, labeled PC/A and PC/B. To the left of PC/B is the power adapter connection. The bottom of the hub has a few stickers: serial number, model number, quality check, etc. Notice the four "feet". Most devices designed to sit on a desk or table have rubber feet which help hold the device in place. I was a bit disappointed to find that lacking here, but we will see if that affects overall usage in just a bit.

Installation and testing just ahead...
