Included in the retail package is the docking station, USB transfer cable, eSATA transfer cable, power adapter and installation manual.
The BlacX Duet is constructed of black ABS plastic and features the product logo on the front. The layout of the new Duet is only slightly different than the original BlacX. We now have dual slots to accommodate two drives at the same time as well as eject buttons on the right side of each slot. There is also now a dual power button / HDD activity LED indicator for each hard drive. The back of the Duet features an eSATA port, USB port and DC-IN power connector. On the bottom of the unit we find four grippy rubber feet and Thermaltake's product information sticker.
Mounting a drive simply consists of sliding it into the dock. As you can see, you can mix and match 3.5" and 2.5" drives in virtually any combination you wish. To remove a drive, press the ejection button then pull the drive up and out of the dock.
Continue ahead as we put the Duet to the test with some benchmarks and wrap things up with a conclusion.
