Introduction

What kind of headset do you use? There's a lot out there. Does it have 5 channel sound? Or virtual 7 channel sound? What about lights--does it flash and light up? If it doesn't have any of that stuff, maybe it has a helmet attached like this one? The point is, we've reviewed a lot of headsets over the years with a lot of different features. But, none quite like today's review item.

Today, we are reviewing the Asus CineVibe headset. This particular headset has one feature that makes it stand out from the rest: it vibrates. The CineVibe headset comes equipped with a vibration unit installed in each earpiece, which shake in real time with the bass levels of the speakers. This product isn't quite yet released by Asus at this point, hence the lack of design and labeling on the box. You can expect more on that front soon.

The CineVibe headset is surprisingly reminiscent of a Genius headset that came out roughly three years ago. In fact, it looks like a straight rebrand of the Genius HS-03U. Though, this isn't terribly surprising as rebranding has been prevalent in the computer accessory industry for many years.

Continue on as we put the CineVibe headset to the test, and see if it's great or a gimmick.
