Introduction

Whether you are into serious overclocking or just looking for something better than the stock CPU cooler, which is just about anything, there are a whole lot of options for you. Better temperature management and noise control all factor into keeping the magic smoke inside of your PC.

Not too long ago, I took a look at the Noctua NH-U9B SE2. Today I am going to compare that to the Arctic Freezer 13 from Arctic Cooling. Arctic has long been known for their cooling products, but has also branched out into peripherals as of late. Taking a look at one of their core products, the Freezer 13, should make for a nice comparison against the recently reviewed Noctua heatsink.

Looking at the specs, we have four 6mm heatpipes passing through 0.5mm aluminum fins. The single fan is also listed as a 2000rpm ultra-quiet fan, so it should be interesting to see how it stacks up against the Noctua with its dual ultra-quiet fans.
