Inside the box we find the Apex enclosed in an anti-static bag which is tucked in a foam pouch. An installation guide is also present. Since this is primarily a notebook drive, there are no SATA data or SATA power adapters included.
The drive itself is the same size as a typical 2.5" notebook hard drive. The majority of the casing is plastic but the backside is metal which should increase durability and maybe help with internal cooling. The product name is printed on a sticker on the front and you can find the obligatory warranty info / serial number / etc. data on the bottom of the drive.
Those interested in using the Apex as a desktop solution will be interested to see just how small the SSD is when compared to a standard 3.5" hard drive. Desktop usage brings a lot of benefits, including reduced heat, a smaller footprint and absolutely no noise / vibrations.
Continue ahead as we crack open the Apex and have a look inside...
