First Look and Installation

The compound comes in a large, thick syringe. One syringe looks like it will easily last a good 20 applications, probably more. I appreciate that they gave a lot of room for your fingers to hold the syringe securely, so it doesn't slip and get all over the place.

I clean my processor with 91% pure isopropyl alcohol and coffee filters (as a lint free cloth) and apply a little more compound than will end up on the processor. Everyone has a different way of spreading their compound, from the softest of q-tips to the sharpest of razor-blades, but I prefer to spread it with a plastic bag over my finger. I put so much paste on my processor because most of it comes off onto the plastic bag.

MX-2 is surprisingly smooth and thin. It was really easy to spread and probably the best to work with when compared with all of the various compounds I've used (from AS5 and Liquid Pro to the 1-application syringes of white goop). Let's test this stuff out and see how it does…
