With a name like Arctic Cooling you would probably suspect, and rightly so, this was a company that specialized in high performance cooling hardware for computers. Previously here at OCIA.net we've reviewed the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 vga cooler and MX-2 thermal compound, both of which scored high marks in our tests. But you may be surprised to learn that Arctic Cooling has recently released several new products that have no ties to cooling at all, such as their own game consoles, the GC Pro and GCm, as well as a line of audio gear.


It's one of these last that we'll be taking a look at for review today, the Arctic Sound E352 earphones. Presented as a high-end series of audio gear, one of the E352's main selling points is that the body of the earphone chassis is made from real wood. They also feature a tuned bass reflex port on the outside, that coupled with the wood construction presents a warm sound from its deep and powerful bass response. Although commonly used in quality home theater speaker components, these specifications are surprising to find on a set of earphones!
