Introduction

Peripherals are something that are often ignored or taken for granted, even those of us who are more extreme users. I am a good example of this. I certainly qualify as a bit more of a hardcore PC user and have a lot invested in hardware, but I've used the same style of mouse for over a decade. I did upgrade once, but only upgrading from a ball mouse to a laser mouse when those became available. Whether it was gaming, general usage or anything between, I usually ignore the mouse as it gets the job done.

Today we are going to take a look at the M571 Gaming Mouse from Arctic Cooling. It is geared straight at gaming users and has a nice matching feature set to boot.

Take a look at the main features below:

Two things jumped out at me right away just by reading the feature list. The first feature that grabbed my attention was the selectable DPI settings. I have never bothered to try a mouse with higher DPI settings, much less an adjustable one. The second was the adjustable weights, another feature that I have yet to experience. Will my first outing with a gaming mouse leave me wanting more or anxious to go back to my standard optical mouse?

Let's move ahead and check out the Arctic Cooling M571 in detail.
