I got this a few mobo reviews ago. Sorry for no current run, the present mobo wouldn't clock past 3.7gHz, and SuperPi is in the low 13s. Maybe I'll get a little better once I get my water installed.

No, it ain't fake, to be honest I never really cared much about benchmark scores. But the E-8400 is a real smoker on SuperPi.

Funny thing about it, I got this best overclock yet on an Asus econo-board. (P5Q-E)

Hell yes, ASUS makes a fine product. Top of the line motherboards.
I got a million pi digits in 35s on a baseline single core AMD64

I actually got it from Intel, lined up by the ThinkComputers owner at CES.

I couldn't believe it did so well, as the C2Q 6600 always did so poorly. The i7 has four cores with eight threads, and the eight threads often act like separate cores.

Though I watched it during some DVD encryption earlier, and only one core was running. Maybe someday the software guys will catch up with today's hardware. LOL

I know it's still nowhere near the numbers the Intel's are cranking out, but this new
Phenom II knocked over 5 seconds off my previous best of 23.9s with my 6400+ X2 @ 3.55Ghz

Pretty damn good....nearly 10 seconds better than the best I've done with my 9950.

Yeah the Phenoms didn't clock very high. Squeaked another 80Mhz out of this chip and managed to knock another .4s off the time, updated pic above.

Quite awesome Bio. My i7 920 is an engineering sample with locked multiplier. Hoping to get a retail version soon so maybe I can see overclocks over 4gHz.
