Much like Unveiled and Digital Experience, ShowStoppers is another press event at CES that gives companies the opportunity to speak with the media in a more relaxed environment than the show floor offers. The great thing about these media events is that each venue almost always has different companies displaying, so you aren't likely to run into the same company each time. ShowStoppers was about as big in size as Digital Experience although it certainly seemed less cramped.

We scanned the ballroom floor and made a list of companies we wanted to speak with. With our list in hand, we got to work!

OtterBox


We stopped by OtterBox and had a look at their latest line of cases, the Tandem Series. The Tandem was created with sliding phones in mind, namely the Palm Pre. As you can imagine, OtterBox have spent significant time developing a functional sliding case that meets the high standards their customers have come to expect.



The Tandem uses two polycarbonate outer shells with overmolding as well as an adhesive screen cover for added protection. "Overmolding is an injection molding process that combines two materials into one interconnected component," says Curt Richardson, OtterBox CEO. "The Tandem Series is created by molding polycarbonate and silicone together."

Unfortunately OtterBox did not have a price date for the Tandem, although their website allows you to sign up via e-mail to be notified when it is available.

Furthermore, for everyone that has been wondering, OtterBox said a case for the HTC Hero is coming "soon".
