Flash Drives, Solid State Drives

We met with OCZ Technology in their suite at the Bellagio Hotel to check out their new products on display.

OCZ had their entire line of flash drives on display, but the only new additions were the blue ATV Turbo drive and a 32 GB regular ATV drive. Pricing on the 32 GB ATV will be around $200.00 USD.

The new Sims2 flash drive was also being displayed. Besides the external shell, this drive comes preloaded with videos, trailers, wallpapers and screensavers from the game. Pricing for this drive should be no different than their other 4 GB offerings.

SSD (Solid State Drives) are just now starting to hit the retail market, and OCZ had a few of their offerings on hand. SSDs have no moving parts, which result in less heat and improved durability. OCZ will be offering 32 GB and 64 GB models starting next month with an introductory price around $400.

More just ahead...
