Introduction

2010 is officially here and for technology enthusiasts across the globe, this means one thing: the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. CES offers technology companies the opportunity to showcase their latest products for the coming year. The event is not open to the public but as members of the press, our four-person staff will be bringing you all of the latest announcements from the companies you care about most.

OCIA.net will be making our third appearance at the annual trade show where we are scheduled to meet with hardware giants such as Intel, MSI, ASUS, EVGA, Patriot Memory, Gigabyte, Thermaltake and OCZ Technology, just to name a few. We will also be attending several press events including CES Unveiled, Showstoppers and Pepcom Digital Experience where we will see first-hand demos of new products from the likes of Western Digital, Seagate, Otterbox, Corsair and others. With four staff members attending the show, we will have plenty of new content going live over the coming week so keep an eye on the front page.

Aside from our coverage during the day, CES is known for outstanding parties hosted by many of our sponsors. These parties are a great place to unwind after a long day and network with industry friends and fellow tech site owners. Open bars are a given and most raffle off some killer prizes. With any luck, we will score some swag that would make for good contest prizes for our readers. Expect coverage from these parties as well. After all, it's not every day that you get to party in a 4 million dollar penthouse overlooking the Vegas strip!

Thanks for reading and be sure to keep an eye out for our CES Unveiled article going live later this evening.
